“Tres Compositiones Para Piedras” was conceived as part of “Racons,” an opportunity for residents to
show each other work at the Can Serrat residency in Catalunya, Spain.
The first piece is performed by dragging a rope tied to various acoustically interesting detritus
up a steep flight of concrete steps outside of the residency house.
The second piece is an improvisation using resonant pieces of found stone and terra cotta pottery
on a resonant piece of concrete, behind the head of a single observer looking at an empty outdoor stage.
The third piece is performed by two people scraping stones along a retaining wall capped by concrete tiles.
